CD Release J. Imp

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

L l o p ( pronounce L j i o p )
Saxophonist Erik Bogaerts , guitarist Benjamin Sauzereau and drummer Jens Bouttery formed the band 'Llop'. This Belgian based trio play mostly improvised song-like music, often inspired by traditional music (Jazz). Jens plays drums and creates and manipulates music by recording Benjamin and Erik live and then using those sounds through different electronic outputs to give the resulting whole an unpredictability. Llop like to challenge themselves with the musically unexpected. The album 'Lampke' (el NEGOCITO Records) was the start of a musical process that Llop have taken further in their development on a short Scandinavian tour last year. Llop played in Denmark and Sweden and were "in residence" for one week in Harlösa to work. give several concerts and then make a new recording in an ancient church with French bassist Brice Soniano. This recording "J.Imp" will be released at the festival and is a new step in the story introducing Brice Soniano as fourth member of the band.

The line-up:

Erik Bogaerts – saxophone (Banjax, Mephiti)
Benjamin Sauzereau – guitare (Les Chroniques De L'Inutile)
Brice Soniano – double bass (3/4 Peace, )
Jens Bouttery – drums (Jens Maurits Orchestra / Jef Neve)
